Bentley Trip to Road America for the Pirelli World Challenge
Jun 30th
Dyson Racing, Bentley’s factory backed race team in the Pirelli World Challenge series, took to the track at Road America in Plymouth, WI this past weekend with two of their Continental GT3-R race cars. Bentley was also kind enough to extend an offer to some of our clients to join them for the weekend at the track to watch the race. We booked a private plane and luxury lodging and Bentley handled the rest, providing cars for us to drive to and from the track, a catered hospitality suite to watch the race from, as well as integrating us with the crew and drivers in the paddock.
For those that missed out, VIP accommodations for this trip included:
- Private airfare
- 2 nights at The American Club in Kohler, WI
- All food and beverages
- A round of golf on the famous Whistling Straits course, home of the 2015 PGA Championship
- Bentley vehicles, including a Continental GTC Speed, a Flying Spur V8s, a Mulsanne Speed, and a Continental GT3-R
- Complimentary tickets to the Pirelli World Challenge race at Road America
- VIP parking and access to the Bentley hospitality suite
- Private paddock tours and meet and greets with the crew and drivers
Everyone on the trip had a great time and we look forward to planning similar trips alongside Bentley for our customers in the future.
Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept is a smaller, sportier Bentley
Mar 3rd
After teasing the Bentayga SUV for so long, many speculated that Bentley would finally reveal the production model in Geneva this week. Instead, they surprised everyone with a new concept car: the 2-seater EXP 10 Speed 6. While the name is a little long-winded, its sleek styling and elegant detailing are stunning. While Bentley has not yet confirmed any details regarding production, cost, or specs, speculation indicates this will be targeted at the Ferrari F12 and Aston Martin Vanquish.
Aston Martin is building a street legal version of the Vantage GT3 race car
Jan 7th
As you might’ve heard, Morrie’s Luxury Auto just announced that Aston Martin will be coming to Minnesota soon. While the showroom will be stocked with plenty of beautiful and fast grand touring cars ranging from the V8 Vantage up to the Vanquish, we just discovered via Jalopnik that Aston Martin is cooking up a more potent street car that shares more DNA with their racing efforts than any other car they offer today.
Rumor has it that Aston Martin has the Porsche GT3 RS squarely in their sights, and as such, will be differentiated from the swoopy, sensual V8 and V12 Vantages by offering a big rear wing and wider bodywork aimed at providing some extra downforce. Meanwhile, a pumped-up V12 from the V12 Vantage S will likely provide over 600 HP of grunt to power it around the track.
Think of it as one heck of a final send off for the Vantage lineup before it gets redesigned in the next few years.

Morrie’s Luxury Auto at the NY Auto Show
Apr 21st
We flew out to New York City last week to capture some of the excitement at the New York International Auto Show! With tons of vehicle debuts and all of our brands in attendance, we couldn’t pass up this oppertunity. Both Maserati and Bentley arrived at the show with a beautiful set up, as usual. Bentley brought the new Bentley GT Speed and Flying Spur V-8 models as well as their signature GT3 Speed Racer, which was initially unveiled as a concept at the LA Auto Show in 2012. Maserati knew they had to bring something special for their 100 year celebration, and they did. The big hit for them this year was the MaseratiGranTurismo MC Centennial Edition, in honor of the company’s 100 year milestone.
Other luxury sightings included an exotic lineup featuring a Lamborghini, a Lotus and the attention grabbing Bugatti. We also stopped at the Alfa Romeo booth to get coverage of the 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C, which will be crafted by Maserati engineers in Modena Italy. Lastly, we couldn’t resist popping over to the Aston booth to check out the 2015 Aston Martin Carbon Edition and the 2015 Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT so make sure to check out our video coverage of those beautiful vehicles as well.

Bentley to Introduce Hybrid Concept
Apr 10th
Bentley will finally introduce a plug-in hybrid technology to the luxury market at this years Beijing International Automotive Exhibition on April 20th. The unveiling of the Bentley Hybrid Concept vehicle gives us a sneak peek into the future of the all-new Bentley SUV which will be available in 2017.
Bentley hopes with the addition of a hybrid vehicle to their lineup, customers will have a wider choice of modern, powerful and efficient powertrains. Power in the vehicle will be increased up to 25% and co2 emissions will be reduced by up to 70%. Bentley ensures this will all be done with no compromise to the luxury and timeless design that the brand is so well-known for. The Hybrid Concept is based on the flagship model in the Bentley family, the Mulsanne.
“There is no doubt that plug-in hybrid technology is true to Bentley’s values of outstanding luxury and effortless performance. Combining our renowned engines with electric power reinforces and enhances both principles, and so we will gradually introduce this powertrain across our model range. By the end of the decade, at least 90% of our production will be available as a plug-in hybrid. We are proud to be pioneering these developments in the luxury sector” states Chairman and Chief Executive of Bentley Motors, Dr Wolfgang Schreiber.

Luxury Debuts from the Geneva International Auto Show
Mar 7th
This year at the Geneva Motor Show Maserati wasn’t the only one with an exciting luxury debut. Lamborghini and Ferrari also introduced their newest models to the world and we wanted to give you automotive fans a little insight into what was released.
Lamborghini debuted the impressive 610-Horsepower Huracán which will be the companies most affordable vehicle on the market. You can expect to pay around $200,000 for this beautiful new sportscar, which is a replacement to the outgoing Gallardo.
Under the hood this Lambo boasts a 5.2-liter v-10 with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and can reach 0-60mph in just 3.2 seconds! With top speeds reaching over 200 MPH, we know this will surely be a fun one to drive.
The weight on this vehicle has been shed thanks to lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber materials throughout the design. Lamborghini CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, already confirmed that there have been more than 1,000 Huracán’s pre-ordered at this time.
Ferrari also stunned us with the beautiful new California T hardtop convertible that is 15% more energy efficient than the outgoing model. The turbocharged California can reach top speeds of 195 and travels from 0-60 in just 3.6 seconds! We expect pricing on the California to be around $187,000.

Maserati unveils Alfieri Concept at the Geneva Motor Show
Mar 5th
This year at the Geneva Motor Show Maserati unveiled their Alfieri concept which hints at a new design language that Maserati says will carry on to models in the future.
We’re not sure if this vehicle will go into production or not yet, and neither is Maserati. They are waiting to get more feedback on the concept before making that decision. “I sincerely can’t say that we’ll see this car in production in two years’ time, but I’m certain we’ll see something very similar,” said Lorenzo Ramaciotti, global head of design for Maserati’s parent company, Fiat.
The name Alfieri comes from one of the Maserati brothers who founded the company years ago. This concept is originally based on the GranTurismo chassis, with a bit of a shorter wheelbase that is 9.5 inches shorter. This concept is powered by the same 4.7-liter V-8 as the GranTurismo, but achieves 460 horsepower and 383 lb. ft of torque!
We’ll be sure to update you as soon as we find out more about this hot new concept vehicle from Maserati. Check back often for more info or head over to Morrie’s Luxury Auto website to check out some of the other great inventory we have on display!
