United States Grand Prix – Sunday – Oct. 23rd (Morrie’s Luxury Auto, 1:00pm)

Morrie’s Luxury Auto will be hosting the 19th race in the 2016 Championship season, the United States Grand Prix. Doors will open at 1p and the green flag will drop at 2p. We hope to see you all there! We’ll be featuring the artwork of Paul Peterson during the race who will be bringing some special Formula 1 artwork to showcase.

 

Homecoming 2016 U-of-M – Mon-Sat, October 17th-22nd

It’s homecoming week at the University of Minnesota which means the events are non-stop all week long. From the blood drives to parade drives, the Gopher fanbase will be out in full force. Friday will be the day to stop through if you want to see some classic cars in the parade, or wait until Saturday and catch the homecoming game. Until then, we say SKI-U-MAH and GOOOOOOOO Gophers!

 

Battle of the Food Trucks – Saturday, October 22nd

If you are unfamiliar with the food truck scene in Minneapolis or St. Paul you probably aren’t a foodie. They have been popping up left and right over the past decade, so it’s time to put them head to head once again. There will be over a dozen different food trucks on hand battling for the title of best food truck. The event is hosted by the Maplewood Mall and is free to attend and park.

 

60th Anniversary at Medina Entertainment Center – Friday, October 21st

The Medina Ballroom and Entertainment Center has been a staple for anyone who has lived west of town for the past 60 years. They want to celebrate and thank all the people who have helped make them what they’ve come to be by hosting a party featuring the Johnny Holm Band. It’s a free show that starts at 8:30pm and don’t forget to come back Saturday and Sunday for 60 cent bowling and 60 cent shoe rentals!

 

Pumpkin Carving – October (all month long)

In the case that you just want to show up somewhere that isn’t at home to carve pumpkins we’ve found a good spot for you. The CoLab is hosting a carving event that is only $5 or if you BYOP (bring your own pumpkin) the fee will be waived. You can work solo or in a team to create a masterpiece whether that is through carving or any other medium of your choosing. Check out the Facebook event here or stop on by this Thursday!

 

Minnesota Haunted Houses & Hayrides – October (all month long)

We couldn’t pick just one hayride or haunted house this week so we decided to share them all. This website breaks down all the crucial information to scare the living crap out of you. It breaks it down with reviews, photos, ratings, and links to all websites. Pretty cool stuff if you feel like being scared for an entire month!

 

Vikings Away Game – Sunday Oct. 23rd (noon game)

The Vikings will be heading on the road to take on the Philadelphia Eagles. The one time home of Sam Bradford, he re-enters the city that once boo’d Santa Claus with the 5-0 undefeated Minnesota defense behind him.
